Life in the Best Years

What should we do when we realise that we have fewer years ahead than behind us? Carry on as if nothing is happening? Dream about the past and regret the sins not committed? This is not the solution for a reflective pleasure-seeker with a strong passion for life like Matthias Schlicht! Thoughtful and witty, he looks at time as it passes and is simultaneously created: He thinks of his grandma’s kitchen in the countryside, encounters and farewells, as well as the sobering class reunions. His incisive miniatures full of subtle worldly wisdom are a declaration of love for the time that we have been given.
