Journey to the Centre

In the Labyrinth of Life

The labyrinth is an ancient symbol of humanity. Unlike a maze, the labyrinth has a centre to which a single path inevitably leads. But this path is winding, its curves are surprising and its twists and turns seem to lead away from the goal but ultimately bring a person to the destination. In the labyrinth, even the detours prove to be instrumental in reaching the goal.

Uwe Wolff explores the labyrinth as a metaphor for human life in this insightful and engaging non-fiction book. His cultural interpretation is also a spiritual exploration since he shows the labyrinth as a symbol that is both timeless and strikingly relevant today: It is a hopeful and encouraging mirror of our existence and the human path through life.
