Failure

Our Most Loyal Companion on the Path to Happiness

Disappointments, setbacks and failures are a part of life. No human being is spared the experience of failure. Hermann Wohlgschaft impressively shows that people – since Adam and Eve to the present day – have always been confronted with failure and have had to overcome it in all areas of life. Religions and cultures, mythologies and the arts speak volumes about this. But they also show that we can emerge stronger from crisis situations. After all, the author asks what “failure” even means: It depends on the perspective of who is assessing it.

Hermann Wohlgschaft is convinced that failure does not have to discourage us. It is part of life, but life itself is ultimately stronger. God can also make something good out of personal failure. This book speaks to everyone who asks about the deeper meaning of life and does not rule out a perspective beyond earthly existence.
